LOS ANGELES: From Downtown LA
Hardly had a minute to catch my mind from the NZ Tour - but all I got to say about that for now is: Thank you all to those that came to support, you are all very dope! For our next dates starting September 8th in Auckland then heading to Te Wai Pounamu (South Island)...get your butts on down to the venues especially to the gigs that are free! Anyway...
We hit Planet IndigenUS in Toronto on Saturday 22nd August.
Hooked up with a lot of good people. To the brothers Kitch, Tjupurru and Efiq, Brother Ernie (a jewel), Plex, Wabs, Gris (on the GRIND for real), Dalton (we will hook up for sure brother) all our Aotearoa, Samoan and local brothers and sisters that came to support, our Saami Connect, Katch and Mihirangi (safe journeys), the brothers of Doonooch, Diana, Fi, Sol, Reid and Ali, Sarah and Carla, Di, Jo, Emere, Whare and Carol.
Didn't get to many places besides the Sports Bar across the road from the accommodation BUT does Toronto have the most graff per capita/square mile in the world or what?!?! I will throw up pictures soon.
It was a bit of a mission trying to catch all performers but we made connections and that's what this is all about.
Now, I have to spend some time to breakdown one connect with a brother. His name is Ernie Paniccioli (google his name and get a clue). He is a hip-hop legend. And if you love hip-hop get yourself schooled up on this brother. Knowledge reigns Supreme. Check out this website for more information on very important work that this brother is doing. IF you have a chance to catch him speaking, please go support. His words brought us tears of joy. Beautifully Inspiring.
That's me for now, keep checking here and my website especially for gig updates for those of you in LA and San Francisco. I will be back with more information on that September 8 Exhibition Launch Gig, you will kick yourself if you miss it! Peace.
