The brother was also part of our first Hip-Hop Lives Here exhibition held last year for my yet to be - released fourth album of the same name. All good though - the exhibition will be travelling the world with me so you will get to see it at some point or you're asleep! Word.

ART: Hip-Hop Illness
Received these pics in an email from a brother like no other - artist Owen Dippie - OD. Been a fan of his work for sometime now, I even have my own portrait done by the brother from a while back. Dope to see the brother is getting out there - check him out on his blog or The Source or Flickr or here.

About TMD Crew
TMD is a crew that many consider synonymous with New Zealand graffiti art – although their membership spans the globe with Germany’s Can2, Sinae, Atom and Wow123, and Australia’s Sirum and Vans the Omega. Spawned during the Auckland graffiti boom of the mid-90’s, TMD has its origins in West Auckland. Fourteen years on the collectives work is found in every corner of the globe, covering USA, Asia, Europe and the United Kingdom. Despite humble beginnings TMD has battled against the confines of geographical isolation and has emerged as one of the front-runners in the international aerosol art world.

GRAFFITTI: Colouring in book
Here is something from my man Subway Suds. If you are a hip-hop head with kids [or upcoming artist, interested in graff...] this is the perfect thing you need for these rainy winter days, a little bit old school with a hip-hop twist - Graff Colouring-in Books.64 pages jam packed with funky flexed sketches and characters from graff writers made up of an all star Australian lineup with overseas special guests!
The purpose's of this book was to: [nb. taken from press release]1 - Provide a platform for good graffiti artists to be printed.
2 - Make the viewer more interactive with graffiti by being able to colour it in, thus subconsciously absorbing styles and progressing the movement.
3 - To allow the public to post their coloured in versions on the Akromatism blog.
4 - Attempt to positively promote the graffiti artform and make it more accessible and accepted.
We just ordered some so they will be available from our online store very very very soon!
Alternatively you can order directly from the cats themselves here. Also important to note - they will have book signings throughout Australia on the 11th of September. Peace.
